Case Study: Over $3.8M funding in grants won for deep retrofit project for a co-op in Oakville

  1. An Energy Audit was completed – this report is an essential requirement to be eligible for Federal, Provincial, Municipal or private funding. Our team is able to provide ASHRAE Level || Energy Audits which will help identify the opportunities for savings, and qualify the building to receive funding.
  2. Based on the report, our clients decided which Energy Saving Measures they wished to proceed with. We assisted them in the application documentation and project planning to acquire funding for the following projects:
    • High efficiency Domestic Hot Water boilers
    • High efficiency Heating boilers
    • Low flow toilets and kitchen faucets
    • High efficiency windows
    • New fan coil units
    • VFDs on dual temperature pumps
    • Occupancy sensors
    • Building Automation System
  3. For this particular building, over $2M was acquired from the Green Municipal Fund offered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) for eligible energy efficiency improving projects
  4. $1.8M was obtained for capital improvements from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC)
