Acquired $24k funding for LED Project at Camille’s Place Non-Profit Housing, saving 16% electricity
The LED Retrofit and addition of occupancy sensors has saved 152,360 kWh per year
- An ASHRAE II Energy Audit was done in April 2021
- LED Retrofit and Occupancy sensors in Common Areas was recommended as an Energy Saving Measure with a payback period of 1 year
- Aegis helped the co-op receive the following amounts of funding to cover 46% of the total project costs:
- $10,000 award from Green Kickstarter Fund
- $14,000 from IESO Save on Energy – Retrofit Program Fund
- Aegis provided tendering and project planning services
- Aegis performed inspections to troubleshoot issues and ensure expected performance
- By January 2023, LED and motion sensor upgrades were completed in common areas
- Since then, the Co-op has seen a 16% reduction in hydro usage, and 10% reduction in costs
